An old house with a detached garage was remodeled down to the studs. The detached garage was converted into a separate residence, creating a small compound on this corner lot. The plan of the original house was flip-flopped so the living spaces are now on the top floor to take advantage of the views, and bedrooms were shifted to the floor below. Cedar siding covers both buildings.
