Napa Guest House

Not far from the vineyards, a new ADU was designed with a main room that could be opened to the yard as much as possible, through twin tri-fold doors on either side of an indoor-outdoor fireplace. A neutral, natural palette was chosen: concrete floors are polished, cedar covers the vaulted ceilings, shou-sugi-ban wraps the fireplace and chimney inside and out. A pop of blue Fireclay tile on the shower floor spills from one space into another.
